Rear shock revalving

Hi guys, any good suspension guys who can rebuild/revalve a 1299 shock for my 899? I've mained RG3 and Ducati Omaha, but want to keep other options open. Race Tech is a bit rich for my blood, as I think they charge more than $450 for just the rear shock(with the gold valve kit)... RG3, I think, is under $300. Computrack Boston refused to work on it, as they think the shacs shock is "junk". Any other options I should be considering? Factory connection maybe?

Location is irrelevant, as I'm buying the shock on eBay to send directly to the suspension expert to have rebuilt. I weigh 155lbs without gear and my riding is mainly going to be street, but since I ride on some really bad roads, I need a shock which would absorb the bumps slightly better. My reason for going in for a 1299 shock was the height adjustment and the hand knobs to make any damping changes. Also, I plan on switching over to a flat rate linkage, also from a 1299.
