so you have RCS master cylinders and kept the original reservoir and reservoir brackets and both brake and clutch brackets broke?I broke 2 of these reservoir brackets. Used a brembo RCS item for quite a while but had the recall done last week. It's a revised, stronger reservoir bracket. I didn't get any info on the part number with this.
The OEM bracket won't work with the RCS masters. The bracket for the RCS uses the top mounting bolt for the clamp to hold it onto the bar as it's means of attachment.so you have RCS master cylinders and kept the original reservoir and reservoir brackets and both brake and clutch brackets broke?
Only what you are saying regarding the locating pin really. The brembo bracket sits the res very close to the fairing and only relies on the friction between bolt and rubber grommet to stop it from turning. Mine did vibrate on the fairing a couple of times. No biggie though. It's hard to bend the bracket to give it more clearance without making the res sit at an angle. What do you mean by not working 100%, can you elaborate? IIRC, the oem res and a locating pin and there’s a hole for it on the OEM bracket. I’d probably just snap off the pin and be done with it.
I thought you found it before. Maybe was someone else. Old bracket pn ended 222A and new bracket 224A or something similar. I recall one of the 2's was replaced with a 4.The brake reservoir bracket can break.
ETA: I've been trying to find the text or a PDF that would show the new part number, but haven't had any luck.
can you post a pic after you get it replaced? Would like to see if they are now positioning the bracket using the front bolts instead of the rear. With the silver, it looks like a eye sore and afterthought IMO..Mine is getting replaced right now. Never had an issue with the original.
