Removing fuel tank sticker

I've removed it on every bike I've owned. Gently warm it with a heat gun or hair dryer.

Goo gone afterwards
Then wipe with microfiber with diluted IPA
then super slick it with hidrosilex
or go the extra step and correct that paint before super slicking

Thanks Kev! I've read some other forums and there has been some reporting on using WD-40. Would you avoid this reagent for such a sticker?

Wd40 shouldn’t hurt anything. I just like taking the sticker off and letting the residue soak in goo gone for an hour then hit it with a paper towel.

I would NOT use WD40 or Goo Gone on a matte bike. I'd suggest a diluted isopropanol alcohol or an ammonia free window cleaner.

Yeah use IPA, it’s a better solution. Actually I can remove stickers in 1 piece with ipa and a long bladeI would NOT use WD40 or Goo Gone on a matte bike. I'd suggest a diluted isopropanol alcohol or an ammonia free window cleaner.

Well ya had all week. What did ya use? As long as it’s not on plastic I use GOOF OFF to remove sticker glue without hesitation. If on plastic I test on a hidden area. Usually it’s fine : )

He has a matte bike. Anything which has any sort of a polishing effect on the surface will make it look blotchy. Plastic or aluminum isn't the issue.
