removing tank, 'canister/breather' pipe connector?

You can pop them apart with a flat blade screwdriver, and then pinch back together with pliers.

But, you're better off buying a new crimp clamp, or a different type of clamp that is reusable.

I have looked for the correct tool for the clamps Ducati uses, but it is very confusing, and there a sooooo many different types. I was not able to get some off with a screwdriver on several of my Ducati motorcycles. I am all ears if anyone knows the correct tool or tools that fit these crazy strong clamps. When taking the tank off, I just pulled the hose out of the bike and left it connected to the tank (V2). It would be nice to get these clamps off without thinking I'll need some stitches, LOL.

I've always used a small flat screwdriver. There is a section which has a small square cut out that a tab on the lower part of the clamp fits into to lock it. You just need to slightly pry upward to get that cut out to clear the tab. Once you get it open and figure out how it locks they'll be super easy to remove in the future.

Thanks. Can you reuse them?
Seems like a plain old screw type hose clamp would be good enough for this evap hose

oetiker clamps are available at belmetric. ecstuning sells a knock off tool.

worm clamps suck sealing small diameter things

They are probably squeezing them a little tighter to get them to unlock. Once you get it open after messing with it for a bit it will make sense.

bp_SFV4 is what we'd call back in the old country, 'a genius'. here's a crappy one handed video trying to show what he was trying to explain. thanks again!

I usually hold the clamp with a pair of snub nose pliers, then prise apart the clamp with the aforementioned small flat blade screwdriver.
