Replaced the DP Race seat with the 899 stock seat.

I'm still looking for something in between the DP seat and the OEM one thinking of trying the competition seat from raceseats.it

Anyone try this one yet? I just feel the DP seat makes you too on top of the bike and makes it hard to get into a race tuck.

I had my standard seat recovered in alcantara, very easy, cheap and cures all the issues.
 
Yeah, what's up with those pegs? I changed to Rizoma race pegs with the nice sharp knurls. I guess they intended users to casually cruise with the machine so no need for pegs that bite.
 
So i just got an e-mail from Race Seats Italy, they say their "competition seat" is +5mm built from the base. My question for the masses is:

What is the build height for the: Stock seat? DP seat? and 899 seat?
 
Not supplier for DP seat but seat from Race Seats.

1199R seat here. Perfect amount of cushion and grip while still retaining the "sit-in" feel.
 
I am still going back and forth between the stock 2014 1199 seat and the dp race. The race is definitely more comfortable for long 5+ hour in the saddle days. Given I am 6'3 it also gives me a little more room. That said, I also like the in-the-bike feel of stock, despite the lack of grip and comfort!

Maybe I should try the 899 seat if it truly is in between.....
