Very true..and Christians have done plenty of killing too..so I find it funny when people pick on other religious sects....

I don't find it funny.
Two wrongs, one which predominately occurred during the 12th Century, doesn't make a right.
Blowing up a school with kids because your leader was killed is also wrong.
Taking hostages for any reason is wrong. the OP was just pointing out a fact, not blaming.
That is the problem with this issue: people think that it is logical and ok because of some perception of a transgression.
Well, it's not.
In most of the developed world we have agreed to norms, treaties and agreements are the result of this. Including the Laws of Land Warfare. If you are a belligerent and think you can blow up kids, women, innocents, behead, and so on, then you obviously don't want to be a part of the rest of the world.
Those poor Australians did nothing to deserve that! Period.

I guess the Spanish Inquisition wasnt conducted by Christians?? .. Or the burning of Catholics in England??? The list goes on.... No one religion is blame free for conducting horrible acts in the name of their religion...

Very sad day this world lost 2 brave souls. They decided to die to protect others than let a nutjob kill everyone. May their souls forever rest in peace and their families and the world remember their sacrifice.

Never understood how people of all faiths/religion put so much belief into a book/following that was once written by another human being for the masses to follow. Although I am Muslim by background (Middle Eastern) I definitely do not practice or believe in that crap. I think religion is one of the biggest brainwashing methods for mankind. A joke if you will. I should try n get a cult-like following started and try n hope it develops into something big enough for generations to pass it on. I'll call it Double-Oism. Yea. That's it.
War, military, weapons, religion. Shouldn't exist. Then again, the world would turn into chaos. Too bad there are that many people alive who don't have a genuine and honest bone in their body to live a peaceful life.
