PROJECT 2024 New year, new goals, new projects, new thoughts for

This is a short video of the Misano Garage 51 experience I did in March 24, with the new bike.
There is space for improvement.
My ideal lap was middle 1"40" and I still need to set up the bike.
Really a good feeling!🥰

I think I know the answer why CIV pushed National Trophy 1000 into a separate weekend. CIV is a fuсking mafia and NT1000 became more popular in 2023.
Todays weekend at Misano is a disaster. Q2 NT1000 starts after 6pm!!!

Second Misano's track day and going deeper into the bike.
I got Barni involved for the whole day, since today they were testing with Petrucci, trying to fine tune me into the Motec system and the bike to me.
Lowerd the rear by 2,5 mm and opened the compression by 2 clicks, to find sone traction out of turn 3, that was a mess, after the rainy morning.
Further increased 2 mm of front preload and reduced 2 mm of rear preload.
BIG CHANGE IN MY SETTINGS
Didn't get my best lap times, but enjoyed more the bike behavior, being more suited to my likes.
I love traction over sliding.

See you next ride

There could be a day in Misano in October 31st, but we'll see how the weather will be like.
As of now, only 3 track sessions for this year.....very depressing!!!!
I hope yours are better.

Well, here it comes the end of the season.
It was a very lean season for me, because I didn't have much time to ride, but very successful, according to my goals.
Next year, the Trofeo Ducati ( name should be something like " V4 Elite Cup " or similar) will come and that puts me in a new realm.
According to the ( not finalized yet ) regulations, only V4 base, S ( maybe R ), MY 2022/2023/2024/2025 bikes will be allowed, with minimal changes ( fairings, exhaust, seat pegs, radiator ).
So my beloved V4R SBK #51 will have to go.
Today I will try the V4S 2025 in Misano and decide what to do....wait for the V4R 2026 and rent a V4S adapt to this trofeo or buy the new V4S 2025.
A very interesting future is ahead!

Bike is for sale, BTW

Ok
back from the track day in Misano with some very good feeling for the future.
The V4R SBK is a docile monster and the new V4S 2025 is a surprise.
I was lucky enough to make a side by side comparison ( same day, same track condition, NOT same tires ) and this was very helpful to me for a fair test.
After having collected a lot of info and impressions from the net and some Ducati people that developed it, I can resume it like this:

- bike was fully street legal ( working and tested horn 🤣, lights, exhaust, side kick, etc )
- I was riding on quite worn out Pirelli sc1 instead of my late choice of Dunlop, so got some spongy response from that, but all due to the softer inner ply, but all very manageable and with a lot of feedbacks.

- ride position is far more comfortable
- electronic is more subtle ( gentle I might say ) in the intervention, but still too much on the safe side. I turned all aid off apart from ABS 1 TC 2 EB 1, on RACE A setting.
I would have liked to try another session with TC 1, to make ti more powerful on slow turn exit.
- riding is less exhausting than before
- dash was really easy to read and understand with plenty of useful information.
- power was on the par of previous model
- std pegs are too low for real pushing
- electronic suspensions were predictable even of not on my like.

2 AMAZINGLY GOOD POINTS :
- very powerful braking, impressive feeling with the combine breaking, allowing me to push with the trailing brake and keeping the line after releasing, similar to my bike, but I don't know if they could last longer than 15 minutes pushing.
- very composed riding, meaning that electronic is very refined and hidden, even if too much on the safe side, to my taste.

2 BIG DOWNSIDES:
- while leaned and getting back on the throttle, it has a very OFF-ON effect, that unsettles the bike and take away some confidence
- too much tightness on the electronic, that make you loose time on exits
Everything else is a fair step ahead, something that make me want to get the new-one, especially the fact of being less tiring.
I told the 2 downsides to Pirro and they will probably address them soon.

BTW
Time without pushing were on the low 1'44" , so immediately fast.

I hope this will help you in your choice 👍🏻

Unfortunately I am not able to post the slow-mo.

This is an artifact of the demand ETV maps. Drove me crazy picking up the throttle midcorner. Ducati is doing this, I think, to stop the rider from inadvertently getting a handful of throttle induced by a bump. Easily fixed but you'll need your tuner to do it I think.
