Restricted in second gear?

The torque limiting fix is a start, but the throttle response stinks. Even in top gear, half throttle or more to get any kind of a decent pull doesn't cut it. I'm no expert by far, but with 175RWHP, a quarter turn should send you to the moon. Good throttle response should be linear, not concave.

Winter is coming so I hope someone can straighten things out. Gearing for me would be a last resort. This is a good bike despite the power issue:)

I agree I like the bike for sure but just want to make her all I know she can be :)

Looking forward to seeing what develops for these bikes, there is so much potential. Recent track day was an eye opener regarding the ability of the chassis, but also the difference in performance between lower and upper gears (no engine/ exhaust mods, literally just completed break-in service). Lag when in midpipe deadzone is terrible, and need for unusual amount of throttle input to get the power down is fatiguing. Quickshifter needs some fine tuning as well- wish it had the features of the Healtech unit I last had. The power is intoxicating when it is available, which means passes only happen on the straights where you can get out of 4th, otherwise you are working hard to stay in the hunt as slower bikes out accelerate you in the low speed sections.
Akro system price tag vs performance is not especially enticing, I am hoping to go to the Arrow system with a well thought out map and spending the difference elsewhere.
I understand Ducati's approach here, unleashing something like this to the masses means making concessions.. but some of us want what is advertised and nothing less. Love this bike though.

I still believe in this bike. I also believe in the potential of this platform:)

I don't know about that... I know they have torque limiting map for each gear and I'm talking to a bunch of guys that are trying to work through that. I know that on the dyno in second it will only put out about 160HWHP but in 4 or 5th its the full 190. Also even with the up map there is a big lean spot from about 3600 to 7600 and that can be tuned out and they will gain around 14HP in that range which is right where I believe the flat spot is on these bikes. I'm doing my 520 conversion this weekend and going to 15F / 45R and that will help but its only a Band-Aid till we get it figured out.
easier to wheelie on lower gears

I just added the MTorque UpMap tonight and was really surprised at how much change there was. I agree with all that’s been said above, it’s a very noticeable improvement.
