hi folks,

so have an issue that just started this week, when on start up the bike would idle ok but a bit rough, but once on the move and roll up to a light or free wheel the idle would drop so low it almost dies, it will recover itself after a few seconds, this continues to happen each time, once on the move she is fine no surging no splutters or coughs, no engine lights, fuel is good, changed map sensors as I had 2 new ones with the bike, any ideas would be great! 1199 2012.

Calibrate/Reset TPS + APS + MAP

have tried that, she runs fine for a few weeks after a reset then the same problem starts to recur again.
My guess is that you have a worn potentiometer, TPS or APS.
If you compare values BEFORE and AFTER a Calibrate/Reset, it should be possible to find the worn part

This is happening to me but after checking it with a wideband seems to be a rich mix issue, mine will idle very rough when coming to a stop and sometimes will even shut off, more chance to happen if the idling is after a long compression, more chance to happen with the stock fuel map as well, (maybe due to lambda being enabled since the AFR for stock versus termi are almost the same) TPS and APS are good, however haven't tried replacing the MAP, I've heard they are prone to fail on the 1199.

And experiment I want to try is to set the engine braking to max, I would expect that will cut off fuel while on compression braking and help the combustion chamber dry, if you want to try that let me know if you notice any difference.
