got back last nite. weather on the ride up was kinda misty damp, but while we were eating lunch at the bakery sun came out dried up most everything.
Temps went up from mid 60s to low 70s. Rode the Cherohala to Joyce Kilmer highwy thru deals gap and then headed home on some twisty roads (TN68 is surprisingly nice and curvy.)
Almost NO traffic of any type at deals gap and cherohala, it's like riding was back there in the late 90s when I first went.

It's 28 right now, waiting until 32 before I head out. Got the headers on and it feels like the bike has a second wind lol.
Cost effective upgrade? Absolutely not! Worth doing if you can? Yes. Learned a LOT about the bike and the heat issue is even better.
