Just found out we lost another Pani riders today. He lived in NC and was a member of the DUC LIFE NC Facebook Group. RIP Bud...

One man was killed in a motorcycle wreck on N.C. Highway 181 on Wednesday afternoon near Steele Creek Park and Campground. The driver, who has yet to be identified, was traveling with two other motorcyclists who were a distance behind him but did not witness the wreck.

Officers with the N.C. Highway Patrol said it appears that speed played a factor in the wreck.

Responding agencies include N.C. Highway Patrol, Oak Hill Fire and Rescue, Burke County EMS and Burke County REACT.

A reporter with The News Herald is on scene and more information will be published as it becomes available.

Bummer! Very sad to hear... Was he a member here? I recall recommending 181 to someone on here who'd just moved to NC a while back; hope it wasn't him.

That story actually popped up on my Facebook feed yesterday and I've been trying to find out who it was. This type of news is the worst kind of news and I pray for the family and friends. RIP brother.

He goes by JD John on the Duc Life NC group he was from Charlotte. Are you on there? If so They just posted another thing..

No I'm not on that particular group, I've got the Desmo Owners Club of Fayetteville/Fort Bragg.
 
Damn. Just damn.

JD bought an exhaust from me, he picked it up earlier this year, brought his son in the car, whom he just picked up from his ex. He was a seriously open and straight forward funny guy.



Ride in peace brother. May your soul guard your little boy.
