Just wondering if anyone here experienced the same thing.

The bike 1299S. Preload adjuster nut on the RIGHT fork always move into a different position after a ride.

After setting sag, both electronic connector on the fork was positioned in a MINUS (9-3) orientation. But after awhile, the right connector would reposition itself to (8-2). Put it back to 9-3 but it keeps going back to 8-2.

Is this normal?

This is getting really odd, the preload adjuster is moving by itself!

Anyone Knows why?

This problem has been there for awhile, went back to the dealer and they got it checked with instructions from the factory, hence the purple marking.

One track session and it is off again. What the hell...

So it's turning cclockwise? Just to the next position? Have you left it and see if it continues further cclockwise?

Sounds like no spring tension on the backside and it's letting the adjuster back out. But if it's predictable and consistent, that warrants having a look inside to see what's going on.

If it ever turns clockwise then someone is obviously screwing with it... Wouldn't that be tightening/applying MORE tension on the spring? I could see it might be plausible that it is loosening itself but NO nut makes itself tighter...

Someone might be pulling a trick on you... A couple of years ago at Texas World Speedway during several different track day weekends someone in the paddock area was screwing with others suspension settings  Sadly they never caught them.. Thankfully it stopped happening because someone could have been hurt.

It happened to me several times.. We usually drop our bikes off on Friday night and leave them in the paddock so they would be ready in the morning..The next day some people found out they had been "readjusted" One time my compression and rebound on my 2011 ZX10 had the adjusters all the way in! Another time, one was all the way out the other was all the way in. That really scared me.. From then on I took extra time to make sure it was the same after each day and I had to mark the adjusters with a dry erase marker to make sure they were not tampered with.. It is sad because there has always been a sort of brotherhood and honor among the track guy and gals..We help each other and look out after each other. Like most other things in the world today I guess things are changing for the worse..:(

There are some really sick people out there!
