Sato Racing - Rearsets

Leaving price out of the equation, these do seem to offer a further forward position of 4 increments at 25mm, 20mm, 15mm & 10mm with height up to 35mm also. Why are all positions forward over the stock position? Are the stock too far back? Or are the japs just shorter people?

If it moves the peg position forward, should they still be called "rearsets"? Nice set of metal though.

Yes, Japanese are typically shorter than westerners. Bit on high end price but quality is very high.

Sato makes good stuff, but I have the same question about moving the footpegs/controls forward. You can buy spacers to decrease the forward distance, but why forward?

Ergonomics, most likely. May not be the right solution for everyone, but Sato seem to think that's a good solution for the Pani. Moving your pegs (and thus feet) forward will take weight off your hands, without moving the bars at all. I can see it, myself; at 5'8", the bars seem a bit close to me with the pegs where they are stock. Every(body) fits different of course, so YMMV.

I don't know how putting your weight forwrd would affect the mileage your bike gets, but maybe I'm missing something

Another Ducabike Item

Found these to be best selection I made. VERY adjustable, able to use GP or standard shift without other parts, and extremely sturdy and grippy on any boots or shoes. Superior to DP ones IMHO and can be found for less than advertised if you shop them right.

BellissiMoto - DucaBike Rearsets for the 1199 Panigale

ps. Dont think "crash" unless you are racing. I realize the saying goes "its not if, but when" but why let that dictate everything you buy. I'd say woodcraft are least expensive and best for possible crash replacement parts though.

I bought a set of these based on all the good feedback from this site however I was a little disappointed at how they handled a low side at my last track day...

It was not a very nasty slide but they broke or basically shattered on the lever and main body rendering them useless, need to buy a new set now.

What was strange is that when broken they look like they are cast concrete or a similar looking substrate, but def not metal looking.

There's a reason the WSBK Duc guys use Lightech >.>

They even withstood the resulting fire:

And I know it's huge, but these are too:

Hey man, look at the fact they held up in the crash, you guys see only what you want to.

Everyone uses brembo and ohlins, is that purely because of sponsorship? ROLLING MY EYES
