Bad for you: without hearing protection, how long do you think your ears last at 116 db? I don't care if it makes you go deaf but everyone around you doesnt get the choice to have to listen to your pipes or not.

Bad for the environment: If everyone ran 116 db pipes, how do you think it would make people who happen to live near roads feel?

Have some courtesy to your fellow man, people. If we don't regulate ourselves, guess whos going to regulate us, and likely more severe regulation than what self-regulation would be.

I love aftermarket pipes but honestly, 105 db is damn loud, 116 is your face next to a jet engine

TLDR; we share the road and we need to think about people other than ourselves

you must be a lib. thats cool that you want the govt to run everything but the reason the laws have changed isnt for the noise its because of E4 environmental issues and its a money grab. the fact t that you cant even get a slip on anymore isnt about the noise. i mean really who would buy a slip and keep the cat makes no sense. i signed nothing with ducati and nothing with bmw as i do my own work nor do you flash anything for the upmap with ducati. so i dont know what your crowing about.

anyway to the OP get sc project if you like how it looks they are amazing.

I'll try to make this easier to get:

If you can't control yourself, the general public will control it for you. Now, do you want the general public, who may or may not understand our sport, tell you what kind of exhaust you can run on your bike, or do you want to keep things in the relatively sane realm and still get a nice sound? I didn't say I want regulation, I am saying if you go too far you will get regulated (government intervention, and its already happening)

Why would I want the government to tell us what to do? Don't be a sheep and just label people as "lib" because you dont agree with them, expand your mind, things are not black and white as whatever politician you agree with would have you think.

The signing with Ducati is new last summer, and it was for the V4 when getting the "race only" akra pipes and flash. Look into it.

Not yet they dont, but i'll bet it will happen. NY is right behind California in restricting personal freedom, taxing people to death and passing silly laws because of feelings.

my problem is peeps from NY now all moving to SC, then demanding the same .... like they had up there resulting in the same .... for everyone.

1 as stated many times before and in this thread i wear earplugs actully i have custom headphones so i actully listen to music very low even with the pipes.

2 bad for the environment um fail and if you dont want road noise dont buy a house near a road.

3 if my fellow man had courtsey when driving for me i wouldnt need loud pipes but alas they dont so i need the pipes. i actully enjoy when someone is on the phone at a light as i make my bike loud so they cant hear. why because they will be the ones not paying attention. get off the phone.

Okay, grandpa, I get it now. You think pipes are a safety device. Enjoy your loud pipes while they last. I know you are the most important person in the world, but other folks will make changes for you, dont worry.

Concentrate for a second. Honestly, If it comes up to your pipes being the only thing between you getting hit or not, you are doing it wrong and in serious trouble. How many cars in front of you do you think can hear you before its too late?

Anyway, I still think 116 DB is beyond irresponsible and is what will wreck the sport.
