Suspect this is a stupid question, but how the hell do you get the screen off the Panigale ???

I've removed the mirrors, but can't undo the 4 other screws. I assume its allen keys, but can't get any that seem to fit.

Help !!!

Are you perhaps using standard allen keys? I'm pretty sure the bikes bolts and allen screws are all metric. I had to go buy metric wrenches and allen keys so I could work on things. Hope that helps :)

They're torx bolts (star shaped), not allen bolts.

1, or 1.5mm or something... :\

From what i heard its a pain to remove and place a new windscreen because even if you remove the 2 screws on the back(towards the rider) and the mirror ones you really cant reach the bottom ones because of the gauge cluster. I hate to say it but you might have to remove the upper fairings to place the windscreen.

According to to my dealer...that's correct. You have to remove the fairings to remove/install the windscreen.

I removed mine and fitted a new one. It's easy...once you superglue the little rubber nuts in place...just like my dealer did on the original one!

fyi to you guys, tho these alum button heads for fixing the windscreen are sturdier than the brass ones on 9X6 series bikes, the torx head can strip really easy!

I highly recommend buying a half dozen of the buttons and the rubber/brass wellnuts off ebay, a fraction of the cost from ducati.

They shouldn't be torqued that much to strip them? Yes the fairing will have to come out and superglue is a great idea so next time the fairing can stay on but it better be italian superglue.

So by gluing the rubber wellnuts on to the windshield, you can just simply slip the windscreen in? No issues?
