I am considering a V2 as my first Ducati. I wanted to know what the usual service costs are, mainly the Desmo-Valve service that is needed at 24,000km?

Area/dealer dependent but most servicing is possible DIY including the desmo, to get a better idea than on here ring a few dealers in your area and ask. Some Indies are excellent because they have real passion for the brand, your local Ducati club can help as well.
