Setting up for first track day

Dont rush into changing gearing,

As your pace gets better, that 1st gear corner, will turn into second gear corner with no problem.

Look for some coaching to improve braking (you coast a bit much while braking) and pace will come with practice, and good coaching.

Great video man, looks like a blast
Thanks for the feedback. I was definitely coasting a lot and while I was conscious about it, I still hesitated bc of how fast the bike would pick up speed. But I spent some time last night comparing my footage to some other fast locals and took many notes. But like you said it will come with more track time and coaching.

In one of my videos I went out with my suspension guy who did a lap or two and pointed out some places where I was making mistakes. Super nice dude, setup my suspension in like 5 minutes, didn’t charge me anything and still took me out for a spin.

That makes a lot of sense actually. Now that I think of it, the two times I got N, was when I decided to go to first late into the braking. I’m still getting used to the rev range and power curve of this bike. It’s insane to think that I left so much revs on the table and that I was only at low or medium power mode. This thing is freakishly fast lmao.
I was told that by someone who very much knows what he's talking about. Give it a try and hopefully it will be problem solved!

It does take some getting used to. When I first got back onto a bike with a V4 after a verrrrry long gap between riding bikes I took it on track and thought it was ferocious! Then I looked at a video I'd taken and noticed that I was changing gear at 10-12,000 rpm based on the sound... 🤣 I got used to it though and love the bike.
