I used to wear those for about 3 years

Great protection but the bits on the side get caught in the heels guards
I nearly hit the deck once because of that
I changed over to the Mag 1 model about 2 years ago
Very good boots and much lighter
I would highly recommend you look at those

yeah I agree.

no thanks to SIDI

too bulky and get caught everywhere.

Dainese In Boots all the way for me.

I have a pair of white Sidi Vortice, love them except they do take some time getting into and I took off the heel guard. If I were to get another pair of boots I would get a pair of the Sidi Mag-1. They are easier to get into, I love the magnetic bindings and they shaved the inside heel. Essentially, all that needed to be fixed with the Vortice was accomplished with the Mag-1 including carbon fiber ankle support inside rather than outside the boot.

Just ordered a pair Sidi Mag 1 Air boots. I was planning to use a new set of Sidi Vertigo Mega Rain boots but noticed that they have the same general design as the Vortices....Oh well, I guess it's better to be safe than sorry!

DAMN!!!!!!!! Those Mag 1's are HOT!!!!!!!!!!!, im going to have to look at these.

I have the Vortice for a few years.
first ride on the 1299 with them and they scratched the DP CF heel guards
