I mentioned this on the post about mounting, but dawned on me might be something people haven't tried. If you have a Scala Rider (I have G4), and an iPhone 4s or 5, you can use Siri from your headset. Just hold down middle button for like 1.5 seconds, and you'll hear the Siri sound, and ask away. This works for "play music" "Send ___ text", "call ___", whatever. You can also say things like "give me voice directions to home" and it brings up a map/directions from my current location to my home and instantly starts voice turn by turn directions. So Siri has become an amazing riding tool. I'd love to hear other functions people are using.

I have used with my Sena, but I just push the button on the iPhone - I have it available so I can see numbers before answering that aren't in my contacts, or to see the map. But I have asked Siri the hottest questions on the minds of this forum, and here are her answers:

Why is my bike so hot? - Got a list of local bicycle shops.

How much horsepower do I have? - "Do you want me to search the web for that?"

Should I conceal carry? - "I'm afraid I don't know what you should do"

When will AR ship? - "Do you want me to search the web for that?"

How young to own a Panigale? - "I don't know what you mean by "How young to own up Nageli?"

P.S. - When I asked her about Gloss CF, she gave me a list of the nearest Starbucks..

Siri is also a little gangster.. Ask her: "I need to hide a body" and listen to what she gives you..

I am using it on a Sena, but haven't done much experimenting yet other than "play <playlist>", "call my wife", etc. Are you guys using in helmet speakers or earbuds?

Do you ride with ear plugs or not? Just trying to decide if helmet speakers will work for me with ear plugs or if that will make me unable to hear them.

I do ride with earplugs. And just foam so totaly blocking (as opposed to those nice custom ones that have a small tube in there so blocks out very loud but lets in normal, a goal for this spring). Even with the foam plugs and freeway level noise, I can hear music and normal conversation over the coms just fine. Surprisingly so.

I just ordered the G9; do you if siri works with the G9 also?

I don't know, but I don't see any reason why not. The user functions appear to be nearly identical. When phone is connected, just push top middle button for about a second, and you'll hear the siri prompt noise.
