I understand what your saying and your right. My problem is more complex. I need to buy the bike outright, meaning in cash so I have a clean title. I. Moving overseas for work and I need the title to ship it.

You don't have to have a clean title to ship overseas. Just a note from the lien holder. I just shipped a car and my 1199 over to Europe. I'm sure you have great credit, and therefore would have no problem getting the note authorizing shipping overseas. It took me about 10 minutes on the phone to get the notes. Less even for the car because it was financed through USAA.

Well you must be in the military if your with USAA. You contacted your lien holder....freedom road?

Yes, military. And whoops, the bike was through USAA, the car was through a credit union that gave me 1.9%. I don't have any financing through Freedom Road anymore (although my 1198 was). But both of them were quite easy to get the note from to ship overseas. USAA was easier because they had the required letters all ready prepared for people since they deal with this situation regularly and it just took one quick phone call for them to upload it into our account online, and we could print it from there. We had to fax in a request form we got from the credit union to ship the car overseas, but still relatively pain free.
