I have to take my son in for some dental surgery tomorrow AM, and I'm hoping to run in and take delivery afterwards (depends on how a 2 1/2 year old deals with general anesthetic). If I can't get it tomorrow, I likely won't be able to take it home until next week... Busy work schedule this week with stuff I can't push off until later.

I also picked up a new helmet and some pants/gloves, so that is always a bonus to add to the excitement of a new bike. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1430789835.067350.jpg

Anyways, I'll update this thread with pics from delivery and on the way home (it's a 300km ride).

I'm going to keep it stock and do the odd mod as I go. I always appreciated doing mods as I go so I can notice the addition of a pipe or RapidBike or whatever.

Thanks guys! I'm pretty pumped.

I had an R6 a looong time ago and then went to a GSXR 1000 for a short time. Then went to a CBR 600rr and then 1000rr (my favourite bike by far). Also bought a VRod with my dad, but that doesn't count. Then marriage and my son came along so I had this little angel on my shoulder sayin "slow down", so I bought an Aprilia Shiver. That just wasn't me, so I bought a BMW k1200r. Then I moved to Alberta and decided I was going to stick to Quadding, so I bought a Polaris Scrambler 1000XP and a 450 Arctic Cat for the wifey.... Well, as soon as the first day of warmer weather hit, I had this really sinking feeling in my gut that I didn't have a bike...

$30k later... Here we are.

I hope to get at least 1 track day in this summer to see where I'm at compared to 600rr and 1000rr, but it'll all be feel. Different track, etc.

I just hope this bike feels like "mine". Only my CBRs gave me that feeling.

I take it you listen to demons now :D

These bikes are much more unique than any Jap inline 4, that's what won me over

Alberta! Talk about a short riding season!

No kidding... Won't be getting too many miles on it.

Congrats JD! I was there today as well. Took their 2015 Demo R1 for an hour! Wow what a bike, I'll write up a small review shortly!

Yup!

Definitely excited. I can't quite understand how my wife doesn't share in my passion of finding creative ways to decrease monetary capital, but she'll come around.
My wife has and it's called Coach and Louis Vuitton!
