Wondering if anyone did the plugs on their bike yet. Is it goood to just go stock or is there anything better that I can use. I have the air box off doing the samco hose kit figured it might be a good idea to change the plugs out since I Have everything apart

15,000 miles per the service manual. So probably worth the cost of the plugs if you are in the ball park. I don't thinks there a big difference between spark plugs and I'd go with the OEM plugs.

I took the airbox off of my Streetfighter but not the Panigale. I didn't want to have to deal with the variable stacks. Is there anything special involved in that?

Honestly taking the stacks off wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. I just took my time lots of pictures to make sure everything goes back exactly the same.

I briefly drank the koolaid of better spark plugs due to using different metals or some shenanigans please excuse my brief moment of sillines lol
LOL, hey we all like better. Never really looked into all the spark plug marketing trickery. Maybe there is something there

Regarding the stacks, like Brooklyn v4 mentioned take some pictures and take your time. The first time I did it though I broke the plastic hold down stops for the stacks where you have to slide them up to remove. Make sure the round buttons hold downs are raised and lift the bars straight up when removing. I messed up and ended breaking one of the tabs. And when removing throttle bodies make sure you have the right size torx. They are tight. I got them all but got careless on one of the torx screws on cylinder 4 and stripped it. I was able to hold my tongue right and fit vice grips in to fit the screw head. I then proceeded to throw all the torx screws in the garbage and install regular bolts.

Funny thing you mention cylinder 4 cause that’s where I stripped a screw also lol. Only one I stripped surprisingly as those screws are softer than cotton candy. I ordered new stainless hardware from Accu I feel better now lol

If those are the screws with a metric F ton of Loctite, an 1/4" electric impact driver is a great tool I wish I had at the time.

I stripped one but I hammered in a slightly larger Torx bit and was able to turn it out. One of the front ones if I remember right. Also replaced with stainless.

Something to note, Most places that sell NGK sparkplugs for Ducati's gouge the .... out of pricing. I'm seeing $30-40ea but you can order directly from NGK for $16 ea and know for sure it's not a 'clone/knock off'.
As far as upgrades, you might be able to find an iridium plug(mabye). It's not necessarily"better" but they tend to last longer since the iridium is a more durable material with a higher melting point when creating a spark vs copper. If you were to pull your plugs now you would see the center electrode no longer has a sharp edge to it, it will be slightly rounded. It gets more rounded as time gos by and eventually creates a very large gap for the spark to jump across.

Has anyone tried Brisk, same dimensions as the NGK. Comparable price, but these also have a more circumferential spark lead with 4 combustion channels compared to 2 on the OEM.

OEM - MAR9AJ
Brisk - AAOR10LGS

Ive been using NGK since the 70's where their superiority on 2 strokes was overwhelming, never considered anything else. Also never had an issue on any Pani with them so moving to brand x would need a clear practical benefit
