I've purchased some stainless steel brake disc mounting bolts to replace the OEM items. One thing that concerns me is if this will affect the front and rear wheel hall effect speed sensors, since on previous Ducatis I have owned, these sensors used the disc bolts to trigger the signal and required a high ferrous content to work. I had heard that stainless steel does not have enough ferrous content for them to work properly. As my bike will have ABS fitted, I am pretty sure both front and rear sensors use the phonic wheels as opposed to the bolts to sense the wheel speed. Can anyone confirm this as if this is the case then the bolts won't matter.

Thanks.

ABS, speed and TCS uses the trigger discs, and not the bolts, so just go ahead :D

Thanks BowHunter I figured it did, just wanted to be sure. I won't have to ask these questions in a few weeks as by then I will have a bike to actually check for myself!

I don't think that the bolts have any influence on the ABS sensor.
As soon as I receive my new wheels I will install titanium screws anyway.
I'll let you know if a problem should occur, but as BowHunter already said, everything should work fine.
