In addition to Rossi's Ducati years, I think it just took him a long time to heal and get his confidence back after that huge off he had (can't remember what year it was)

Stoner was so much more likable than Marquez, I just find MM really irritating

Mugello 2010. He broke his leg something awful. It gave Lorenzo the chance to win his first championship.

That 2010 crash by Rossi messed up his "rhythm," but it seems he is getting it back...

PS- my Euro connection has sent me 4 links to the race and all 4 are corrupt and don't work
.... Still waiting for a proper functioning link and then Hopefully I can post ...

Give me about thirty minutes and I'll put it on my google drive. I'm leary of leaving it up for long, so PM me for a link. I'll probably take it down in a couple days though.

All right, it's up. PM me if you want the link to download it. It's the Eurosport feed. Just keep it for member use only and don't share on other forums etc if you don't mind.

Found on the german MV forum...

Lorenzo was whipping Rossi's butt in 2009. Some press say he was "lucky" to be injured to avoid being embarrassed by Lorenzo.

He broke his leg in Mugello, and also there was the Sepang accident with Simoncelli. I believe both factors shook him up.

2009 he was champion by 45 points 6 wins 13 podiums
2010 - Tore a ligiment in his shoulder then broke a leg in June and still took 3rd place in the championship. Not bad for an injured old guy.
2011- 2012 on a GP11/12 peice of crap still manage to take 7th and 6th
2013- back to Yamaha a development year for him and still took 4th
2014 - 2nd
2015 -1st so far.

Who said Rossi is washed up? seems to me he has done nothing but improved except for the two years on a bike that wouldnt turn.

Rossi has always been a bully and gotten away with it. He punked Gibernau for a couple of year, tried to rough up Stoner, pulled a few on Jorge, now showing MM who's the boss.

That's racing though, Jorge was bullying Pedrosa all these years, got it back from Marquez (remember karma in Jerez).

Stoner's pretty clean I have to say, when he won races, he was killing it. Too bad he's such a whiny bitch. Sheer talent, that guy. The way he pivots the rear wheel around the corner and pins down the throttle, awesome site to see.

Rossi wasn't always the fastest guy on the track, but he's a damn good racer.

Ya I meant to say 2010 when he got beat by Lorenzo. Realized that he won 3 straight since Stoner in 2007.

He is good. He is hungry.

It's gonna be a hell of a season !!!

Disagree - Rossi doesn't make dirty passes like that, I think he races pretty clean

When Lorenzo waved his finger at MM a couple of years ago after Marc pulled one of this last lap, last corner stunts I thought it was a bit over the top - not so much now

Not sure why Stoner was whiny - very concerned about safety, but usually for good reason

I know this is done and dusted, but I'll echo what Phill said.. MM wasnt gunna make that turn.. He came in too hot... This is very clear when you watch the video... He may have "practiced" the move but what he did was bs bullheaded arrogant riding...

Rossi races clean now. When you're a Wold Champion, we expect you to show some class. MM better learn this, and quit making ......... comments and riding like a spoiled brat. Just shrug and let Rossi have the spotlight back for a season. NBD.

I love how fake MM was to Rossi in the championship box congratulating him and then upstairs on the podium getting their trophies and celebratory champagne .... He's all smiles with Rossi but you know he's plotting.... In my personal opinion MM is desperate man trying to hold on to his thrown and who knows what other endorsements might get affected if he does poorly....

Lorenzo had it right when MM came over to apologize for that incident 2 years ago and Lorenzo dismissed his apology with his hand....

You think MM was dangerous then? Now he is desperate, the fact that he came in 2nd at Assen gives him " delusions grandeur " and he will take any one out to hold on to his thrown ......

Stoner was way the .... classier than this .......

Yes MM reminds me of a young Valentino Rossi, stick his neck out all the way to win, the biggest problem he has is Vallie wrote the friken book, and is still adding new chapters.
The video pass archive on Moto GP is great you can go back and watch every GP race he ever ran at your leisure, for the folks that don't remember, or didn't know.
