Just got 400 Milles on the bike the brakes are squawking pretty bad
Any body has the same issue ?

Had the same issue after 4k miles. Took it to the dealer and they replaced the brake pads under factory warranty. Problem solved :)

I get it but only when I pull them hard. Had it for 4000 miles. Need to get dash / indicator changed so will ask about the pads when it's in. Also got bad fade on front brake and no rear brake. Need to bleed them.

Mine occasionally give a low pitched squawk during the last few feet during moderate+ braking. Dealership told me it's normal (I did not like that answer) and it has decreased in occurrence since I got it 7/3/12. I have 1700 mi on bike, 300 mi on new motor.

I don't think there's any way to fix this other than swapping to new pads. mine does it too. I've tried sanding the pads a little in case they were glazed and slightly bevelling the edges, neither helped.

I hear good things about the EBC HH sintered pads part# FA447HH, but I've not yet received the set I ordered.

Replacing the pads is the only cure? Well please don't twist my arm. Ferodo pads here i come.

On a lighter note. Few months ago, I had a minor squeak which grew louder and slowly it progressed into noticeable loss of stopping power. My mechanic Jay disassembled everything it found a bunch of dirt, cleaned it but apparently it wasn't enough...the fooking squeak is back :(

Hard to tell if what i experienced was the same but mine made a funny noise generally when id been riding slowly and in town, never when I was riding fast or on track. Perhaps work them harder.

you might try bleeding your brakes, the only other suggestion as someone mentioned is sanding the pads/discs.

You don't get any pulsing thru the handlebars do you? Seems unlikely a warped disc at 400 miles but just a thought.

I remember my brakes doing something similiar in the first couple hundred miles. When I took it in for the first service I mentioned it to my dealer and they stated that there was a little bit of surface varnish from the brakes being new. Fixed it and haven't had any problems since.

Mine started squealing so i went to Auto Zone and bought CRC disc brake quiet I use it's on all my brakes for cars and bikes works really good it will never squeal again. The squeal noise is from the harmonics that is created by temp/dust/glaze etc. No need to sand the brake pads down because it will probably come back. By putting the brake quiet on the back of the pad it will absorb and dampen the harmonics. It's the same stuff they put in the little tube when you by brake pads for cars.

1)Remove two bolts and 2 spacers on the calipers
2) lift calipers off rotor
3) remove pads (you may have to push the pistons back. easy to do)
4) clean the back of the brake pad with brake cleaner
5) apply CRC brake quiet on the back of the pad cover entire area. (let it dry before reinstalling pad into calipers)
6) install pads into caliper
7) install caliper on rotor
8) install 2 bolts and spacers and tighten bolts (apply thermal grease anti seize compound if needed)
9) squeeze brake lever a few times until they are tight again.
