Got my Panagale S back from the dealer. Just got the software update. The bike ran great. I took it out for a couple short runs. Just went out for a few hours and the bike won't turn over and start. First 80 degree day. I decided to try and crack the throttle while holding the starter. It worked but still wouldn't hold an idle. I had to keep it revved and go. Did this every stop. By the time I hit the traffic light everything was fine.

Any ideas

Probably the ECU re-configuring the fuel mapping after the flash.

Could be a Rectifier / Regulator issue. Battery drains, bike needs to be held at a certain RPM to keep the electricals running.

Or of course it could be fueling or a pinched vacuum hose?

I've had it happen a couple times, but usually after 20-60 seconds it goes away.

I bet the bike runs lean, even with the EVO Up-map. Can't wait to get a bazzaz and drop down to that 13AFR.

I have an idea, use the search feature. Several people have had this problem including me.

If it was at the dealer for any time and not on a charger you will need to ride it to charge it or charge the battery with a tender.
also make sure you give the computer time to boot up before hitting the start

Just like Windows ME.

NIce add ons you have Supernova 1199. I plan on adding some of those items myself this year. Like the clutch cover but I'm getting the set up from T-Rex which comes with the front and rear axle protectors with the clutch cover. It's a pretty nice set up.

Sounds like the classic hot start issue that's been around for a while and discussed in the forums. On track days happens to me every session after the first one. Two fixes have worked for me. Crack the throttle as you say, keep it off idle until it stabilizes, and the other, strangely enough, is open the tank and let pressure equalize. Dealer at a track day told me about this one and it worked. Something about differential pressure in the tank, carbon filter vent, etc.

You won't have pressure issues if you have taken the charcoal canister off. As both vent lines vent to atmosphere on the tank.

...water in the gas ? (just thought i'd offer the simplest possibility)

Do you guys think it may partially have something to do with lean fueling? I'll know for sure when I get my Fi Module.

Pull up the tank and look for a kinked line. There has been a lot of chatter calling for the removal of the charcoal canister. However my money now lies with the line being kinked. The process of reconfiguring the lines and pulling the canister will probably remove the kink. I am interested to see if you find a kinked line. My dealer replaced my fuel pump and I still have the canister and have not had any problems. I am betting that in the process of replacing the pump, they unknowingly fixed the kink. Good luck.

-- removing the charcoal canister is a wise choice - there have been reports where the canister will fill with fuel overflow which can cause a vacuum lock and actually suck the gas tank in....not a pretty site....known issue on MV Agusta and Ducati - the dealership i used a few years ago, had 2 such incidents

Thanks madmaxx12 I'm glad you like it, I will show your reply to my wife ,She calls my bike a Money Pit. lmao :)

I first put on the ASV levers and had a problem with them, it seems that as you back the pin out to adjust them the pin moves outside the throw and come in contact with the master cylinder receiver.

I switched to the Pazzo levers and I love them. :)
