Dear Ducati lovers.

I'm currently living through the nightmare of many motorcycle owners.
My beloved Panigale V4 SP #702 was stolen from the underground car park at home (Canton of Friborg in Switzerland) on September 5th, 2023!
The police investigation is still ongoing, but with no prospect of success....

In my desperation, I don't want to miss any opportunity to ask the community for some attention.
Maybe original parts turn up for sale somewhere, or the bike is still intact and maybe even spotted.

I'm very grateful for any tips and the more people who know about it the better!
Thank you very much and don't forget to protect your motorcycle from theft!

Sorry to hear that mate. I'm in Tuscany and will keep an eye out for it. This is Panigale land and not too far away.
I hope you have theft-insurance and I hope you catch those hyenas.
Here's some positive image reinforcement. 😁

By the way, was it a private garage they broke into or a shared garage? Curious to know the level of skill of the thieves.

Sorry to hear this.

How easy is it to steal modern motorcycles?

Note: I ask to take precaution... not to acquire advice on how to engage in criminal behavior xD

Iam in Neuchatel, stealing bikes is not very common.. , hope y find it, but I guess it is on pieces, or on the way Albania / France…

Btw.. past there was desmosedici stolen in lyon, after one year ( or +) owner see it pictured driven by son of the policechef in Morocco..😄… I think, he never get it back..

Sorry to hear mate. The first accessory item I bought when I got my bike was a tracking device, which is installed somewhere in the bike for times like this. We spend a lot of money on this toys and we should protect them as much as we can. In my case, once the bike has move 1 foot from where I parked it I get a phone call and a tracking map to show the route in which the bike is moving. It is like a big air tag. Hope you find it and the people that stole it end up behind bars.

Can you post a link to what you used?

I have a monimoto.it seems to do what it says.its battery powered ,lasts about a year, has an app that notifys you when it's moved ,and gps tracking. sim card included and first 2 months free. 39 euros a year after that.

There’s apps you can use to find Bluetooth trackers though. So a thief may be able to find if one is stashed on the bike.

It's not a bluetooth tracker,it's a gps GSM tracker.
Apps find tiles and ithings.

No they are not. If the robber has an iphone he/she will be alerted that an airtag is on the bike.

True.

But, if there's a choice of two or three bikes to steal, and one has an air tag, and the others don't....which would you take?

Bear in mind, the air tag can be taped/bonded inside the frame, under the airbox, inside the fuel tank. Potentially hard to find, assuming there's only one.

Being easily detectable, is potentially a good deterrent.

So long that they do not find the tag and remove it after it start making the noise. As per Apple description: After a while, if you still haven’t found it, the AirTag will start playing a sound to let you know it’s there.
I went with MoniMoto due to the robbers will not know it is there. It just provide me with peace of mind and it is made for our application.

Looking at the MoniMoto unit now. Where do you guys attach it to on your panigale? At 94 x 19 x 1mm it's not a small bit of real estate.
