how do people install stompgrip without geting bubbles

please help i dont want my bike looking fugly

You can use some rubbing alcohol on the sticky side, then you have a bit of movement if you're fast. But you can apply it as best as possible and little bubbles are unavoidable. However, when you ride and the tank gets hot, the bubbles go away.

Mine look perfect, and I even peeled them off and reapplied them about 3 times.

I installed the clear and don't have bubbles. Just start in middle of "decal" and work your way outward. If you are careful you'll be fine.

I started at one end and slowly worked down. As long as you're slow and careful it comes out fine. Also, have both sg and tank hot in the sun.

I've put stompgrips on every bike I've ever owned, the Panigale being the eighth. Each time it gets easier, but you must be patient. Your thumbs will be raw from working out the bubbles when done on only one side of the tank. The only time I ever had to re-do the grips was when I rushed it on the gigantic 2007 GSXR750 tank. On my Pani they came out pretty good, even lining up symmetrically, about 1mm gap from the end of the grip to the start of the brushed aluminum section of the tank. The other side has even less bubbles, but I count only a handful here:

Tips:
1. TAKE OFF THE ....... SEAT!
2. Swab the tank with alcohol prep pads
3. Line everything up the way you want it and mark off the EXACT lineup points with blue painters tape
4. Peel off only 3" of grip at a time and warm it up with a hair dryer for 30s. While you do this, also warm up the tank with the hair dryer.
5. Work the grip section with a thumb slowly over the tank - this and #4 above are the tricks to minimize bubbles
6. When it's all on, go over the whole thing with a hair dryer again, especially the edges. This is your last chance to work out any bubbles.
7. Wait 24hrs (seriously!) then ride your ... off!

Oh, and for anyone who's never ridden this bike with the racing seat and stompgrips, these two things are the most important improvements in rideability you can make to the bike IMHO aside from #1 suspension setup and #2 finding the right tire pressure for you. I'm loving 31F/33R on the street.

BTW not my fault if your bike looks like a 202hp dildo flying across the land with stompgrips installed! LOOOOOOOL!

pulled the trigger on stompgrips. I've had a good experience with their tank grips on my old motorcycle. The grips should help reduce sliding on the seat when braking and help with transferring weight from my wrists to my core.
