Who's had the stomp grips fitted? And will the 1198 ones from demon tweeks(UK) fit the 1199 ok? Thanks...

I have them on mine, but when i got them the packaging had 'monster' written on them, i queried this and was told these are the correct ones, i fitted them anyway as i needed them but still not 100% convinced.

FYI ... I contacted TechSpec and they said that they'll have their 1199 kit sometime next week. That's what I'll be waiting for.

I've used both Stompgrip and TechSpec and prefer the latter.

Cheers!

I sent Stomp an e-mail directly asking for a pic of their grips fitted on our bike since their is none on their website and got crickets chirping in return. Will see what Tech Spec come up with.

Sorry mate - looks like you received to wrong ones. Demon Tweaks had a mix up with their part numbers. When I received mine, they first sent me the Monster version under STG55-6004 instead for the Panigale Versions under STG55-6007. (Stomp Grip's number 55-6-007 should be easy to remember)

Sorry, the florescent lighting washes the red out a little, but you get the overall look of the Stomp Grips..

I have them installed on my bike; they are model-specific to the 1199 and an excellent addition. A highly recommended addition. (Clear, like those in the picture posted above by DRSapp look the best.)

Here's mine...

Not that great for braking like other bikes I have but, awesome for knee on the ground. For brakes ( i'm 6' ) I use the indents below the tank, squeeeez hard :D

And wish my garage was that tidy!

Think they must have sold out of them or something, as when you put the filter in for the 1199 the stomp grips disappear on the website

They were having issues with their DB linking to the wrong product code for the Panigale. When I received the wrong set, I had to call them and ask for the correct set by the part number - STG55-6007.

I would call to be sure.

Looking at the tech spec on ebay. The set consists of two pieces for the tank and two pieces for the upper fairing, one on each side.

Anyone installed this? the fit on the tank piece doesn't look that good, can anyone that's installed comment?

I have had the tech spec "snakeskin" grip pads on my 1198 because I liked the look of them better than the stompgrip pads, but I think the stompgrip pads work better as I have been told by guys who have used both.

I ordered the smaller Streetfighter ones as these shown are too big for my needs. I am 6'4 and i'll let you know if you they work at all with photos...

Afraid I can't comment on one vs the other for the 1199. Much prefer stomps on other bike though. But what is interesting is that they make a piece for the lower fairing. I'm 6'1" and my legs get no where near the actual tank for grip and yes I ride with balls of feet on pegs. Tis could persuade me to get the tech spec and only install on the lower fairing. Txs for the info!! :D

exc info guys! I went ahead and ordered the set. Looking at the way I sit and the way my legs are positioned, the fairing pieces will actually be of more use I think. I think I'll end up cutting down the tank pieces.

Please post up some pics when done. Did you get black ones to go with fairing color?

I have the Techspecs installed on mine, and the fairing piece alone makes it worth it. Amazing feel and so much grip that I don't mind the slippery seat anymore.

HOWEVER...

There might be a flaw with the adhesive on the pads for the actual tank. Despite installing the pads properly, they're already peeling along the top edge. I have contacted Techspec and they're looking into it, and although they mentioned that they'll send me a replacement set, I can't be sure if mine was a one-off, or if the whole batch was affected.

So, if you're looking at the Techspecs, make sure to address this with them prior to ordering, and I'll be sure to update this thread with whatever response I get back from them.

Otherwise, the product is great and the customer service seems to be on the ball.

Cheers!
