I did it also, I just went out there one day and just started removing, labeling and packaging everything. Sorry Dude I did not have a calculated system, just make sure when your fairings arrive you do a perfect mock up prior to paint. Good luck, this is the fun part of know your bike:)

I've taken some stuff off but not everything. Any way to avoid engine lights? I already have one for my brake light that I need to get rid of.

I took the tail section apart and installed the race tail and turned the bike on and now I have a check engine light. Do you have the same?

I think he wrecked his bike at a track day and is no longer riding the duc. Could be wrong. He hasn't been on this forum since mid august.

Had the same thing, I just stop looking at it:D and rode the heck out of the bike every trackday!!! I will be taking it to the dealer this month for service and have them correct it for me!!!

if you just unplug the brake switch, on the rear brake lever and front brake lever, you will not get the brake error light on.

For the kickstand, you can just disconnect the switch from the kickstand and zip tie it up or purchase a kickstand plug for it.

Next time we are at Roebling together swing by and I'll disconnect the wire you need to disable the one for the rear brake. If you don't have the kickstand bypassed you just need a small magnet on the sensor to make it go away. I've got a spare we can stick on your bike.

Let me know the next time you guys hit RR. If it's warm, I'll drive up.

What's that sensor that sticks into the ramair?

The first time I put my track fairings on I disconnected all the wires up in the front end.

This time I noticed that sensor and left it connected (although just zip-tied up under nose where I keep all the other wires.

If I recall correctly, there was one less error that didn't show up this time (a check engine error). Still had the others that I'll be disabling according to the tips people have given.

I'm wondering if I need to go to the trouble of drilling the ramair for my track plastics and mounting that sensor inside (i.e. is it some sensor that helps the bike tune the fuel / air mixture) or does it only control that warning light?

It's the intake air temperature sensor.

I assumed it was used for fueling so I kept it in position when I switched to track plastic.

Thanks...that's what I assumed. I should probably just spend the 20 minutes getting to the ram air and drilling it.
