Hey this might seem like a silly question but what kind of life are you guys getting out of your Superbikes? Can be the 1199, xx98 gen, or even older! The most miles I ever put on a bike was my 848 and after four years I only managed 12-13k or so. I'm already at 2000 miles into my R and I've only had her 4 months. Any of you guys heading well into the 20-30k mileage range with a bike that does dual street and track duty?!

One of the very few people to be in the 20k+ mileage range would be Antihero. His first 1199 I think had around 30k-ish and he's probably around 20k on his current one. There may be a few others but not many. Certainly won't be me with just under 4500 miles in a little over 3 years lol

I'm at around 9000 miles on my 2014 1199S. I did 4000 miles the month I bought it going to Italy and the rest is road and trackdays. It's been rock solid engine wise.

16k miles on my 2013 so far.

There are guys in my group that have 30k+ on their 996's, 1098's, 1198's etc...

Treat the bike well, and with a little luck it will last.

my biggest worry on these bikes would the tft display and electronics....

1200 miles in 2 weeks. Should see 15k+ this year. I have 30k on my R1. A friend of mine, who happens to be in his upper 60s has had 3 CBR 1000rrs with over 80k on each. His last one he put 110k in 3 years. He's a farmer and rides the entire time he isn't farming.

They can last with good maintenance.

I think this bikes are proving to be reliable . The motors seem to quite robust the electronics may cause issues later down the track but it's yet to be proven and will be a relatively cheap fix if there is s issue .

Yeah I'd love to hear stories about someone doing trackdays with something over 20k on the clock! In the Ducati world hitting 20k seems like 100k on most cars.

My 848 had 27k miles in 4 years, 3/4 street and the rest track. Second owner on the 12' 1199 and I've put on about 6500 miles in a year 3/4 street and the rest track, it's at 13.5 right now. Had all the regular leaking gaskets etc, but outside of that this thing purrs!

I have 7900 miles and will have 12K by end of year min.
i also change the oil every 5,000 miles instead of 7500.

never say never, but never will anyone have 20k track miles on this bike... well, unless the engine rebuilt and/or replaced...

Encouraging!

i have to believe if you change the oil and do routine maintenance these modern bikes will last a long time.

i was babying the hp4 i only have 1400 miles on it because i dont want anything to happen to it (aka Crash) so i ride the 1199 on the street. not because one is better than the other but because if i crash the 1199 i can get another one the next day. HP4 i cant get.

now im like F it hp4 will be ridden.

sorry went off on a tagent i have about 10k miles on my 1199 except for the gremlins knock on wood never had any time of engine trouble. change fluids regularly.
