Superleggera wheelie control on the 1199

So I was wondering. The Superleggera has multi stage wheelie control as most people know. Do you think we'll be able to adapt the 2012-2014 1199's with this feature either by swapping in an ECU module or maybe a software update? OR do you think perhaps the new 1199/1299 will include wheelie control and maybe retrofit out bikes with it?

I think the wheelie control uses the front wheel speed sensors which our bikes already have, wouldn't it be a module that measures this sensors output and ....... timing, fuel, throttle or whatever it does to slightly lower power to bring the front wheel down.

The reason I ask is the BMW HP4 has DDS (Dynamic Dampening Suspension) and you could buy a kit to retrofit your s1000rr from BMW. Was hoping Ducati would do something similar.

Thoughts?

SL uses a totally different ECU. Wouldn't be a simple upgrade. With enough money you can make anything happen though.

When I first opened the throttle on the Pani, I was amazed at how little the TC reduces wheeling... In my previous TC equipped liter bikes, the TC would work as some type of anti-wheelie control because ti would notice the minute differences between front and rear wheel speed... Even my Diavel will pretty much prevent wheelies when the TC is set at 1...

What sensors/data is the Pani interpreting to determine the difference between a wheelie and wheelspin?

As of now there is no active wheelie control on the 1199, if
They are prevented, that's because of the traction control.

Just as a reminder, not that one flips their bike....

I have a mobile app wheelie control. Works just fine with the Pani. It's called "Wrist".

You should get it.

No, different ECU, different sensors, different wiring harness, not compatible with the other Panigale models.

Same sensors as "regular" Panis, but additional Triple Axis Accelerometer from Bosch.

Charlie - I added a different but related aftermarket system that does the same thing, you can Google it: "Rear Brake"

All bikes have wheelie control, it's called rear brake, it does entail a certain level of skill, and coordination but anyone who has bought a bike of this level must be at an advanced skill level. All of these rider/driver aids that come with todays motorcycles and cars are diminishing the skill set of a whole generation, and taking away the human element of bike/car control.

Sorry, when I mean wheelie control I am referring to its use on the track only

I know the throttle, rear brake, or upshift works well to bring the front end back down. I was just wondering if it could be adopted on the 1199 where the hard drive out of the corners tend to make the bike a wheelie monster and who wants to let off the throttle :-D
