Enjoy in good health !!!

Seems like you had a lucky day sun shine and all !! In the UK that is seldom enough..... !!

Hey Flashman- ignore the old geezers & naysayers... Very well written, & I applaud your enthusiasm. Welcome Bro!

thank you. I do really love this bike. Old monuments that have twisted their very inspiration [love] i pity. I find it unfortunate their lack of the great family and love I've received though out my life. Of which I'm constantly reminded by all who know me and all the positives i bring out. However we are all ducatisti so let the ducati reign

I don't want in anyway to dampen your enthusiasm, it is great to see, but please please break your posts into bite size chunks of text i.e. small paragraphs. It just makes long posts so much easier to read (at least it does for my old eyes :D )

or cut down on the Ecstasy tabs :D

A difficult read only because you should hit Enter twice after each paragraph. Enter once to go to the next line and Enter a second time to add some space between the paragraphs.

That said, I read it and am happy for you! Put some miles on that Panigale!!!

hi guys and thanks for all positive comments. yes if i do another long post ill hit enter twice.
Anyhows after waiting for the rain to pass all 6 days of it, giving me lots of opportunity to visit the garage. i finally got to take her out for a quick blast. [buying a bike in british winter sucks], the rd was half damp and it was only 2 degrees with rd salt all over the tera firma. so then.....

Ha ha ha and yippedoodahday this 1199 engine is absolutely fantastic, I didn't get the chance to go beyond 8000 rpm before in my traffic ride report. But i did today and the adrenalin factor has no equal. I just couldn't stop..... Was just as compelled to keep blipping that throttle like a H, addict going turkey with a loaded syringe 2 feet away. I can see this bike may well take my licence if I'm not very careful. but at the same time i haven't smiled like this since i was a kid with my first ps 1. it has all the best virtues of my old 748SP. Though its new ergos are more comfortable in town once the game begins, i miss that bum up head down focussed aggressive stance. tyres seemed to work on these cold damp in places, with occasional leaves type surfaces. I can say i remained a little on the safe side however they seemed fine on hard stops and fast getaways.

I rode my friends pani s for a back to back, and difference was huge. He has standard cans and it felt more choked low down it also had this mid dip I've read about and was very 2 strokeish on\off power, along with his ollins that made it a bone jarring ride in comparison. His sus was very hard in sport [race was unrideable for me] it spent more time skipping in air than on deck and felt more unstable over 140 mph whereas mine felt better damped all round and truly planted with an occasional kick back from the sash shock over big bumps.
i think id rather his setup on the track though but today we where on rd,s.

My termis and up map just made a huge difference and I'm not talking about outright hp cos I'm not up to that level to judge. But just low down midrange and 7000rpm kick where as his kicked in a little later at 7600rpm. both sounded more or less the same to my ears, but maybe termis where more 3dish if that makes sense. Either way all riders novice to race\expert will benefit from termis IMO and my friend has already placed an order.

So yes I'm completely happy with my panni i can go to the garage to look and polish in the rain. i trust it enough for some truly spirited ridding in the winter and i can truly visualise it ripping in the summer on hot rds or track. And last but not least the amount of admiring glances and conversational openings are so satisfying. Of corse with termis on i should in theory be able to say bye bye to all those bmw types.

aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
