Could you swap the Ohlins suspension from a 959 corsa edition 2019 onto a base 1299..
I got a free set up from my friend and was just wondering...
thanks

I t may be that realnuts has tried this before. According to Ohlins USA site it looks like the TTX shock may be the same. On the forks you would need to measure everything. You might also reach-out to Fast Bike Industries 828-435-0125 as they are Ohlins specialist and the owner David rides a 959.

Use the shock. Sell the forks, buy FKR inserts for your stock forks. Win, Win, Win, and I agree David at Fast Bike is great, he did my shock and forks. Have him do the work, you will not be disappointed.

different size in diameters, so top clamp size is an issue :)

I said it is not a STRAIGHT swap
With fiddling and other parts, you can make it work. You can make everything work, but will it be good (handling??)?

But then I think: is it worth all the trouble? Will it not cost more in the long run? It may be nice as a hobby, but if you want a quick and easy upgrade of your suspension, I would do something else (new front internals and new shock).

About the shock, I am not sure, but I think there is a little difference between 959 corse and the 1299.

If the shock fits: just get some front upgraded internals and go. I would not bother placing another Tee, ... This may start a non-ending adaptation of parts (ending up in a complete front of a 959, including wheels, brakes, ... expensive!)

It sucks because I fell into the entire suspension with 500 miles for the bubble..

Front Internals are easy, but I wish the mid/rear shock would fit!! That’s the big dollar piece!!

The rear will work. you just have to set your sag etc etc

I'm going to measure the steering damper tonight. I think that's identical also.

thanks guys
