Anyone done this? Not bled them, actually swapped all fluid. Post up your process. It's my first abs bike. Thanx

Same as a non-abs bike. Just pump it down, add some fluid so air doesn't get in the system and keep adding, pumping and wrenching until you have all the old fluid out.

actually it goes pretty quick

+1 - all you need to do is setup your bleeder bottle (I use a Gatorade bottle with a couple holes drilled in the top and some plastic tubing from Home Depot) and get your wrench ready. Then remove the reservoir cover and bellows/diaphragm from your reservoir and start pressing on the brake lever (or pedal if doing the rear) and then crack the bleeder. Tighten it back up once you hit the bottom of the stroke. Once you do a few cycles the reservoir will start getting low so add new fluid at that point. Don't let it get too low since, IMHO, it is easier to get the old fluid out with a couple extra cycles than it is to get air out once you get a bunch of air in there. Keep purging and refilling until clean fluid is coming out of the bottom. Then top up your reservoir and you are good to go. You might want to cover the bike with something while you do it since brake fluid is nasty stuff.

Thanks for this! i figured this was the best way but its nice to be able to confirm. whats the best brake fluid to use? type, etc?

amsoil series 600 dot 4 racing fluid. is my choice but since motul is the same price i will give it a shot. i love their products motul that is but i never use them. a qt (or should i say liter of oil is 18 bucks) i get castrol racing 4t for 8.50 a qt. on amazon tell me motul is 8 bucks better a qt and i have a bridge to sell you

I know how to swap normal system. Just didn't know if the ABS system was different and I want to make sure it's a full swap. I use superblue in my race bikes. Thanx.
