T-Rex Axle sliders cause my low slide?

+1,000,000. Your pegs will be the first thing dragging, way before anything else. At my last track day, the stock pegs were grinding on both sides.
 
All of that being said, the T-rex axle sliders do stick out a ridiculous amount, they're huge and phallic and hideous.

I have the frame sliders but passed on the axle sliders and went with speedymoto instead.

Agreed. And just because somebody has used all of the tire (no chicken strips) that does NOT mean they were at max lean angle. As you said, the tire changes shape under load.
 
Lots of things can lead up to a low side..There are so many variables.. It is almost impossible to tell what caused it from your description, but the sliders will only be used when you are actually sliding. As in the front tucked or the rear slid out.

I have the same T-Rex sliders and they saved my bike from serious damage from a high side at 56 mpg back on Labor Day.. They are a good product and very well designed however their customer service really sucks.

any updates on this? I was going to buy the full T-rex slider combo package.

got their slider kit on my 848 - found the quality & service very good. FWIW.
 
You know I lost the front end on my 2014 R and to this day I cannot tell you the exact cause!

Into a hairpin, fairly tidy by my standards, apex and out, throttle on rather progressively, revs starting to build bike starting to stand up nicely and boom, sat on my arse!!!

Hands up, it must of been me, but what I did exactly I have no idea???
