For those with a tail tidy are you getting a "skunk stripe" on your back when you ride in the rain? My '12 VROD Muscle came stock with a side-mounted holder and it was horrible in the rain, had to replace it with the international holder it was so bad.

It's very easy to get caught in the rain here so I don't want anything that's going to look good but end up letting dirty water/mud get slung up on my back.

Please let us know what type tail tidy when responding.

Thanks-

You're going to get that with ANY tail tidy/fender eliminator. Eliminating the fender also eliminates the protection from the rooster tail riding in the wet. Every bike I've ever done this to did it.

the only way to elminate the rooster tail and keep a fender eliminator, you'd probably have to make a hugger that covers much more of the rear tire.

+1 I have had fender eliminators/tail tidys/tail chops, whatever on my last 3 bikes and I get stuck in the rain a lot. They all have the same issue. I thought about trying to fabriate a snap on type thing like you see on road bikes (bicycles), but never got around to it.

As well as rooster tail anyone getting their exhaust guard pock marked from stones kicking up? Mines taking a beat of a beating.
