Hi guy's looking for a little help from any tech guru.

Long story short, had a little prang on my Pani 1299S, front mudguard was ripped off snapping both brake line from left to right caliper and the speedo/ABS sensor wires.

My question is : can I repair the 2 sensor wires soldering them back together or do I need to get a new sensor/wire assembly. Not sure if repairing the wires might interfere with the signal from the sensor.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'd just get new sensors. They aren't that expensive, so for me it's not worth the hassle of soldering. Solder joints hanging free is a weak point anyways when it comes to vibrations...

You can solder them together, it works. If you're going to buy a new one, checkout ebay first. The OEM ducati ones (actually they are Bosch sensors) are pretty expensive (in Switzerland around $160, don't know for US)

Solder them and run them on the outside of the mud guard if you're running warmers. Mine has been working fine for a while now after I soldered it.

Thanks guys. I have made the repair and is neat enough that the cable routes through the OEM clips etc.
I have not had a chance to test run, but the ABS and suspension warning lights are on and it need to be reset. Can't show any doubt when I bring her to the stealer, will definitely be billed for a new sensor whether it needs it or not.
They cost €130 + here in Ireland, as it can't be seen etc I'd rather spend the money on a nice trackday :D or something.

Thanks again guys much appreciated. Max you seem to have been there done that, so good to know.
