"The Call"

Well, I first read about it here on this forum and just now received it myself. The official call from a Ducati rep in Italy. As stated in a previous thread he did have all of my personal data and said I will be receiving a personally signed poster and welcome letter from the Ducati president himself. (Hmm) he also asked if I considered any other bikes before making the decision to buy my Tri Colore, and if Ducati could use my email address to send me advertising material.
When I inquired about the DDA units that I heard were being sent to owners he stated that he was not the correct person to answer this question and that I should email the company about it. Im guessing that wont go far. I wont be able to sleep now as I await my signed poster and letter from The President!!

I got my call today too.

Kind of anticlimactic as I'm pretty sure I received my letter already and it does not appear to be personally signed (unless Del Torchio has figured out how to sign in ink without leaving any impression on the paper). The letter came with a Ducati Road side assistance card which is good for the warranty and a code to register online as an owner.

Allot of marketing driven stuff..... "your new cult item", "your official Ducatista ID", "Desmodromic regards" in the letter made me want to hurl.

I just got the call

I thought it was a joke and started to think he was going to ask me about my credit card.

He basically asked the same questions as the OP stated.
