I recently purchased a very low mileage 14 1199 Superleggera. The bike feels perfect I just want to ensure everything is set up properly.
The bike did have a set of race slicks which I had replaced upon taking delivery to the correct spec tires (Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V4)
Upon going through the menus I looked at the tire tab and it gives me the option of calibration or default. Given it gives me the option for default I believe that indicates it’s currently operating using a previously calibrated set up.
Would my best bet be to run a calibration now so I know for certainty it’s calibrated for the exact tires that are now on the bike as I’m assuming the current calibrated parameters were for the slicks that were previously on it or would I be better suited to opt the default setting ?
My thought process was calibrating would be better than default given the possibility the default was for the original Pirelli tires from a decade ago which may be slightly different to the most current ones now on the bike in addition to the fact I’m not entirely sure if the front or rear sprocket were changed which I know would then warrant a calibration.
Please let me know what you guys recommend and thank you in advance.
