So, I got to play with the bike for 15mins today, but no riding yet!!

1) Started it. Yes some smoke, but I was hardly surprised. It revs like a madman and sounds incredible. Very, very loud with standard cans, can't even talk over it. Sounds reassuringly like a Ducati, yet blips nothing like v-twin - too fast up and down!! It is a slightly scary prospect ...... but that may be because it cost EUR30k and the rear tyre had been shinned up for the show like a greased ferret ready to go down a hole

2) The LEDs. Never had anything with LED main and dipped beam. Flicking between the two was sick. Just like bam-bam. They even cast a noticeable pattern in 30C midday sun.

OK, so I'm clearly suffering. This is torture. Need to ride my bike tomorrow!!!

i thk i know how you feel
if i roll it into my living room, i would
its a waste to have it park in the garage

Oh, mine will be parked in the house - with the rest of the bikes :D

Sorry for the threadjack Xbox  I'm getting sick of waiting too and I have no idea how long the wait is going to be... could be another month!

yep, that is my house

I'm going to take a guess that you're not married an single -OR- have the coolest wife/gf on the planet? :)

my wife loves it, she helped me restore one of the bikes and helps when I do major projects. she helped me pull the frame off my streetfighter for a repaint.

Holy crap, that is . . . wow. I'm not easily impressed, and this garage/house/office does it, kudos to you!

Don't be too impressed, 4 of the 6 bikes in that first picture are gone, I've sold off quite a few of the collection.

Well it's still sickeningly (sp?) awesome IMO, the Panigale should fit in nicely. Maybe if I ever get stationed at Ft Carson (are you listening Uncle Sam?), I could link up with you and tstephenson for a ride.

I told the wife that we should park it in the living room. I now have proof how good it looks

Its funny you say that, a friend of mine and his wife came over last season to watch a motogp race and after they saw the bikes in the house his wife was after him to bring theirs inside too! Lol.

So, I have her home today!

Only a 20km ride so far, but oh-f'king-my-god

1) Super comfortable on the ...... roads I ride ..... I will never forget how the R6 almost put my back out.

2) Flickable and super-light.

3) Very easy to trigger electronics in Wet-Mode, with greasy new tyres.

4) At 5'11", I don't even get close to the tank stretch-wise and the pegs feel beautifyly positioned.

5) Noise from standard cans is ridiculous - I was shouting for 10mins after I got of it!!

Basically, its just an amazing bike.

For people that don't have theirs yet, I would urge you to be patient.

For those that can't be patient, go get an S1KRR and be happy all the same ..... just you won't have experienced the best Ducati to ever leave Bologna.
