So for the first time ever after riding Panis for 5 years I got a heat blister on my thigh (left) due to the exhaust. It was a warm humid day and a long one in the saddle...however still a new one for me and an unpleasant experience.

can anyone recommend a good heat shield? Does anyone else have this problem and used a different solution.

I got good riding jeans from Revit that have Kevlar and double thickness in the inner thigh….and it blocks the heat quite well.

Have you taped your headers? I'm wondering if anyone has had good luck with this. Someone had thin pipes that corroded - I thin that was a recall header.
Not sure about current V4.
Anyone?

Also check this out if you want to DIY it. gold is better than silver, no bull.

Hot stuff. Melt down in reactor two as the adhesive on my tank grips bled out.

After the two years are up....phatter tune and at least partially gut the cat. ( I don't want loud as that just draws attention.)

Current model? If so, which ones?

I've been considering some even though I don't even ride much anymore but still would be nice to have a pair just in case.

This isn't for the headers its for inside the seat, under the tank, on the cylinder covers etc. will reflect for a while.

Thanks ya, I see they also sell products that are from wrapping headers, has anyone had success at that?

My wife and I own several pairs of Rokker jeans. They have a single layer (Rokkertech) model that is great for the summer and gives you 6 seconds of slide protection. They look great, are lightweight, and breathe. We also have their two-layer jeans for fall/spring riding, which provide 12 seconds of slide protection. We have cat2 knee and hip armor in them too. They really block the heat pretty well from the V2 (and the aftermarket non-cat pipe helped even more).

$300 for on sale jeans? Jeans for around $500! Way too expensive.

I was hopin for 100-200 range, max.

LOL. Well the kevlar jeans are old school, weigh a ton, and are hot as hell, even in an airconditioned room. Rokker jeans use completely different technology, feel almost like normal jeans, look like normal jeans, and provide crazy good protection (longer slide times than many leathers). You are correct about the cost. Their nickname is "Rokkerfellers". But once we tried a pair, there was no going back. Nothing compares to these jeans in terms of comfort, looks, and protection. There are other alternatives and Rokker jeans are not for everyone. We own six pairs and plan to purchase more since we use them for every ride.

These real riding jeans are not constructed like your typical Levi’s or Lee’s. Real ones are double stitched and use Kevlar or other materials for abrasion protection, so yes they will cost more than casual wear jeans. Having worked as an orderly long ago in hospitals, I saw many bike accident victims that if they had just worn better gear, they’d be sore and that’s about it….but many did not and needed skin grafts….which are painful and they harvest skin from your thigh….yes, they cut skin from your thigh and paste and sew it onto other places….you don’t want skin grafts……spend a bit more for actual riding jeans.

Kangaroo skin is your best frend and will save your hide when you need it the most.
Are leather pants better than this jeans? I live in India ,we mostly have warm weather and lot of traffic in city. My main concern from the bike is the heat which burn my left inner thigh. What would be your recommendation?

This is not an endorsement. But I ride in Carhart Construction Pants. Look pretty cool. Heavy Duty fabric. I don't ride hard in them, just out cruising. Cost about 65$
