Thoughts on ABS

ABS is .... until you had one unexpected situation when it was raining and you were riding too fast and were so surprised by that woman in a car that you just jump on your brakes and then realize that if it wasn't for the ABS, you would be bikeless at the hospital.

Thank God for ABS.

Good for everyday ride, and you can still put if off for race days. Perfect consensus.

Story on ABS: My bud and I were riding through the city in San Diego. I was on my 2009 CBR600RR with C-ABS and he was on his 2007(?) ZX10R. As we approached an intersection with two signal lights in close proximity to each other, we both had our heads waaay up our ass and both failed to notice the RED LIGHT in front of us. We both locked up our breaks to avoid T-Boning some car. My ABS kicked in and I stopped just after the limit line before entering the intersection, he skidded into the intersection, missed a car, but didn't get hit. That "oh ...." moment made me a believer in ABS for street use. I used the .... out of it on the S100RR at the CA Superbike School and loved it there too.

Ive owned bikes with ABS and without, I have loved both and haven't been "mind-......" by having an ABS bike then one not. I love ABS brakes and it was a ".... yeah" when the dealer asked if I wanted them on my 1199.
