Thoughts on carbon fibre wheels

Glad we are back on subject. No one has mentioned the right hand rule or pseudo p factor.

Or the fact that you have to wait for the wheels to be swapped on the train rolling from the Ukraine into Poland.

Nah man no reason for me to complain anymore the board is on a whole different path now so just staying more busy building bikes.

Surprised that Mick1976 hasn't popped into complain about the fall of western civilization yet

If you really want lighter and cheaper, just install the rear wheel.

is the thought that a front wheel is completely unnecessary or that we can just leave it stock? just want to be completely clear about how far out of the box we're thinking

This bike has quite enough power in it that you dont ever need the front wheel. You cant shatter what's not touching the pavement.

I imagine performance to be subjective in this context. I would argue that for best all out performance no lube is the way to go but longevity would certainly suffer.

I for one do appreciate that kind of dry traction though. TMI?

Thanks brother

I had already ordered the ThysenKrupp wheels for the bike that I traded in for this one…otherwise I would have just kept the Mag wheels on there.

this bike has some potential collectors appeal and those mag wheels were part of the OE spec on the bike, so I figure I’ll store them very carefully abs run the CF wheels abs beat those up and put the OE wheels back on it if I ever sell it.

surprisingly though, the bike handles noticeably different with the CF wheels vs the already very light factory racing mags.
