ok so this has been going on a while. i tried double sided tape then electrical tape and it didn't stay . so this is what i did.
first the hole in the clip on is 6mm
went to home dept bought a 1/4 spacer now of course 6mm is .236 inches so the 1/4 was slightly too big.
next drilled very very slowly into the clip on with a 5/16 bit go slow there is enough space and you don't have to go all the way through.
next glue the spacer to the half with lactite epoxy.
let epoxy dry connect 2 pieces no movement will never break off again.
total cost .95 cents
