Throttle Hesitation With Clutch In

Hello all,

My assumption this is related to the drive-by-wire system, but has anyone experienced a delay or hesitation in engine rpm when applying throttle with the clutch in (starting off from a stop). What I've noted is same throttle position while the clutch is in engine rpm increases completely different then when the clutch is fully out/engaged.

Again my assumption is its to keep you from revving the crap out of the bike while letting the clutch out, but it very annoying to me coming from a cable throttle bike and something I still struggle with after 2000 miles. Has anyone else noticed this phenomenon and any fixes you've come up with short of putting a piggy back/ stand alone ecu on the bike to have complete control of the throttle curve. For anyone whose seen the stock throttle curve is there a clutch switch that changes the curve when its disengaged?

Lastly I had hope changing the throttle response to the highest level (full if I remember correctly) would fix this, but I've only notice a more lineir curve when the clutch is engaged in comparison to the medium setting.

Cheers,
Cameron

Same here, I think it has something to do with the clutch switch below the handle.
As soon as I let the clutch go a bit, the throttle response turns to normal....
I do not know why Ducati designed it like that.
Maybe some experts here at the forum can comment on this issue

Dude, I was JUST gonna post about this because it's been bugging the sheit out of me!! I come off at a red light, rev then let go of the clutch and the rpm drops!

I thought something was wrong with the throttle or something...

I did change ENG to HIGH in Sport mode hoping it would help with the throttle response when starting off but not much...

This has been addressed. Yes the switch does signal the ECU/fueling at least according to Mitsubishi who makes the ECU

Outside of this fueling change, would that same clutch switch only be used for identifying to the ECU that the bike can start when not in neutral? Perhaps this hesitation could be fixed through modifying/blocking off the clutch switch.

When I installed the Brembo GP Masters, I also installed the JetPrime switch box to replace the OEM signals/dash controls. I wired the clutch switch into the horn button as the horn is long gone. The only time I would ever need to hit that button is if i needed to start the bike in gear if I stalled it. Other than that the clutch switch is never engaged and the bike is perfect.Like I said, try taping the switch in the on position and ride the bike and tell me if that thing does not control an ECU function. The bike is not rideable. The switch controls the ability to start the bike in gear and it modulates and ECU fuel function. That switch is a POS and another sour grape in the Ducati fruit salad.

I noticed something similar - but opposite. I installed a pressure switch in an RCS 16 master and noticed that the engine responded as normal with the clutch pulled in and than bogged way down once engaged. Really annoying pulling away from a light.

I've since unplugged the switch. I'll deal with having the bike in N when starting.

Yea I sometimes F up and kill the motor for whatever reason and I found trying to find N at a green light with a moving car behind you a bit of an unpleasant feeling so I rigged the horn button. Works great and like i said, only switches that circuit till the thing fires and I didnt have to install the aftermarket micro on the master. Im happy with it.

Have you guys played around with the dtc? I'm experiencing the same issue and the more I decrease the dtc the better it gets but I'm on setting 1 now in race mode. The stock setting was 3.

Has anyone noticed the it gets worse as the bike gets hotter? Maybe just me
