Back when I had my StreetFighter I was going through two rears by the time the front tire needed to be replaced. However, with this bike it seems to be the other way around, the rear tire is still in dissent shape, but the tread on the both sides of the front is almost gone. I did have front and rear suspension setup by know-how guys at the dealership, so there are no complains about how the bike feels.

Is it how it's supposed to be?

That's what I'm seeing, though it's not quite 2 to 1. Definitely a front tire eater!

Man that sounds strange. It seems as if the front is being pushed a lot. I have seen that from wrong tire pressures where if the front pressure is off just a couple of psi it will destroy the tire in only a few hard laps.

I've got 4 rear tires for two front tires since new with a total of 3560km (2225mi).

Never the other way around!

If you live in the twisties you'll eat fronts. If you ride around town you'll eat rears.

It's a matter of how and where you ride!

..Or maybe its the tyre itself. 5500 kms on mine and rear still holds.maybe another 500kms. Front also almost gone..
Pirellis?

I ride around town and my front is almost done, especially right side. Rear still has plenty left!

my front went about 1000 miles before the rear, i live in the canyons with lots of twisties

I understand that each is different but how many miles are you getting out of a set? I just got mine only 500 miles so far but am curious.

4500 on the front and 5500 on the rear

upgraded to Q3 now

just replaced the front at 2700, the rear looks like it's still got a ways to go before hitting the thread marker

i'm getting 2 rears to 1 front, track only.

As I've increased the pace the bike seems to want to push the front. Need to work the setup a bit.

1700 miles on set one (worn out at 1400, but stretched them out until replacements arrived). 1500 on set two. 1100 on set three so far and they're looking a bit haggard.

1,800 miles on the front and 3,300 on the rear before they were done. Most of the riding was done on mountain roads

I must have 400-500 miles on my second front! Only three weeks old and wear indicators are showing!

I've had the most even tire wear side/centre and front/back of any bike and tyre combo I have used before. I changed my first set at 5,000km and both were pretty much at the indicators all over. I will do the same again coming up at 10,000km.
Good times.

Yeah, this thread confirms it, I ride like a ...... 6690 mi. and my front tire still has good meat on it. My back is 5,000 miles in and is about to "catch a nail."
