Tires

I have a 2014 Diavel Strada, bought it in September 2013 and yesterday I put on on my second set of tires. I'm not an aggressive driver, but 5500 miles on a set of tires before the cords start showing is insane! Not to mention not cheap...Is anyone getting more mileage out of another tire besides the Pirelli Diablo ?

Im not sure if there is any other brand of tyre? Would like to know myself if there are options
