Next week I'm taking my V2 to Thunderhill East for its first track day. Installed Supercorsa SPs. Now preparing to remove the front mirrors/turn indicators, and the rear turn indicators and plate holder.
2 questions:
1 Will I get error codes by removing these?

2 Is there a way to disconnect the rear brake light?

Thanks for any input you can offer!

You can disconnect the taillight by removing the pin connector. Should be under the rear seat. If it's like the 899, you may have to partially remove the tail.

Trying to disconnect rear tail light for track day. When I undid this plug the light went out but now there's a ⚠️ on my dash. Is there somewhere else I should be disconnecting?
Thanks

I believe that connector you found is for the taillight. Brake light and tail light should not be off when you start the bike and use the brake.

the warning triangle would be a distraction.

can you just do a couple layers of painters tape.

a guy had bootie socks on his mirrors in a post. quick and dirty.

I just taped mine up real good when I still had lights. There's a plug you can buy that will allow you to disconnect them without throwing a code, but it's not that big of a deal really.

So it's safe to run with the caution ⚠?

Safe to run with the caution light and you can just disconnect the brake light. It’s all thru the pin connector.

Most track organizations will probably make you still tape up any lens (glass or plastic). Some will make you tape them so you can’t see light through.

I meant brake light

If you disconnect the rear tail light, to keep from getting an error light on the dash every time you use the brake, you'll need to disconnect the plugs from where the front & rear brake switches connect to the main wiring harness.

Otherwise just leave the tail light plugged in and painters tape the rear light.

#4 is the plug for the front brake (top photo). It's located in front of the ECU. Can't remember if you need to remove the right side fairing to get to it..

Thanks

The plug you unplugged is the correct plug for the taillight. Unless you get a plug off connection, you will always get the ! Light when It’s unplugged. It is not a check engine light. It does not store a code or effect the bikes performance. It will go away as soon as you plug it back in.
