Maybe this is an old-news thread, but i'll ask anyway. I'm that guy that wants to be prepared for track, still ride the street, and doesn't want to swap bodywork. I don't even have a garage where i can do lots of work on it (I live in Manhattan - it's parked in a parking garage). I'm looking into my options, one of which might be to do nothing and pay the price if I dump it. Any recommendations? I saw these track/street plastics, are they any good?

good luck trying to keep that bike on the streets of manhattan i would be surprised if it's not knocked over or stolen within a short period of time.

might be worth just buying another set of street plastics i think whitepani is selling some

Maybe i wasn't clear. It's DEFINITELY not kept on the streets! It's kept in a garage. When I say i don't have a garage, i meant, i don't have a garage where i can do lots of work on it (like a traditional garage). It's parked in a parking garage.

Try the original Ducati Track kit. It is a perfect fit, it's real Ducati ABS plastic and it is a 1 hour job to remove the lights and mirrors etc and replace them with the track inserts. Leave the fairings on for the road, lights etc fit back in perfectly, and it saves you original fairings for resale.
Downside is the cost. But at least it fits and its great quality. The other downside is that fiberglass will protect your bike a lot better if the unfortunate happens.
Here is mine.
